SAMA’S Story time! As most of you know, I have been involved in the South African session musician scene for a number of years. I have performed on productions and shows and TV for some of the finest works our country had to offer, working with the absolute best and most amazing people. I’m forever grateful for this. But I’ve also been writing music for many years (from the beginning actually) but due to the very busy schedule of session work, I (happily)put my own works in the back seat for others. A good friend and colleague once urged me to do my own show at the lovely Atterbury Theatre. I, in the moment said ok, I’m going to!! The show turned out to be a great success, which then got me to do more... I ended up touring with a great bunch of friends and musicians. People in the audience would ask me for recordings of my own works which I snuck into the shows. With the help of some amazing people again, I recorded some of my works I wrote through the years at a magical world class studio! Today.... I’m so excited to announce that its been nominated for a South African Music Award!! I am so so grateful for this wonderful journey of music and all the people walking with me along the way, my heart could explode!! Thank you! You all know who you are and what you mean to me.
